About Me

My professional life has been shaped by my interest in accessibility and user feedback, where I aim to combine my passion for computer science and psychology. I aim to merge these fields to develop solutions that meet technical requirements and prioritize user needs and experiences. I strongly believe that technology shouldn’t only be functional but we should also prioritize making it more inclusive. My primary interest is understanding how user feedback can affect the design and implementation of technologies, ensuring that the needs of diverse populations are met.

What excites me about HCDE is learning tools to help create solutions that improve the experiences of individuals with varying abilities. My involvement in organizations such as the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and Engineers Without Borders (EWB) has been crucial to my understanding of HCDE's needs. In EWB my group worked on revising the UW school map to make it more accessible. We did this by showing where ramps and lifts are located around campus. Through these clubs, I have recognized that many of the accessibility needs addressed in academic projects are very similar to those at companies.

Academically, my coursework at the University of Washington has equipped me with a solid foundation in both computer science and psychology. I have learned to analyze problems from multiple perspectives and discover new solutions that address user needs. I have participated in various projects that required user testing and feedback loops, reinforcing my belief in the importance of iterative design processes that prioritize user input.

Ultimately, my goal is to contribute to the development of technologies that prioritize accessibility and user feedback. I am committed to creating solutions that make sure that everyone can fully engage with the digital world, regardless of their abilities. As I continue in my career, I am excited about the opportunities to innovate and collaborate, all while striving to make a meaningful impact on accessible technology.
